Inspired by the ‘Dazzle’ war ships and Sir Peter Blake, we were set the challenge of researching and designing our own Dazzle pattern which was then painted onto suits to ‘get lost’ in our surroundings. Using shapes and patterns found through exploring buildings around campus, I documented these images and created shapes using shadow and tones found in the editing process. The aim was to trick the eye like the war ships in order to break up the human form when placed in unnatural locations. The most successful shots were taken outside in between two buildings where I had planned to incorporate the sky and the white triangle of the brick building at the university.
